In the Last couple of years there is this "hybridization trend" in illustration, of combining different body parts into one creature.
Usually it makes any image look sophisticated and appealing and I appreciate the work when it's in the right context but sometimes it feels more like a shortcut or a gimmick that is trying to compensate for lack of concept or worse...
