Something familiar

As a child I used to celebrate New Year's Eve every year. In the Soviet Union it used to be, and still is one of the main Holidays and it is deeply rooted in Russian Culture.

Unfortunately, because of its' religious context, New Year's in Israel is almost regarded as just another day on the calendar.
Last Friday we invited some friends over for a mixed celebration of a House Warming Party and New Year's. It wasn't quite as I remembered but the house was filled with an alcoholic haze and laughter.
