Editorial for The Marker week. The article tracks the
process of oil from the production process to the selling point. The editor's
idea was to create some kind of illustrated map of this path, but I thought to
focus on the idea of the profit that the suppliers make in each stage. That's when an old Russian nursery rhyme came to my mind.
The
rhyme is about a grandmother dishing out porridge and divides it not equally
between her grandsons (the English version is "This little piggy went to
market…”)
