About a month ago I was asked to illustrate the
title "Retire Yourself". I was working on this one during the November events in Israel. I knew exactly what the specific
moment is that I was trying to describe, the warmth of the boat's timber, the
shadow of the foliage on my face, the absolute silence in and out- it was me
there.
I came across this strange doll a few
weeks later, while hiking with my father in beautiful country side up south. Huge
piles of trash thrown in the open green field made me realize that this doll that was lying there in the exact same pose is the closest to living my fantasy.
